How to care for petunias:
Petunias thrive in full sun. At least 6 hours of direct sunlight per day. Less sunlight equals fewer blooms.
Water regularly, keeping soil consistently moist but not soggy. If you plant your petunias in a container, they may need daily watering in hot weather.
You can deadhead (remove spent blooms) to encourage more flowers. And you can pinch back leggy stems to promote bushier growth.
Use mulch around bedding petunias to retain moisture and reduce weeds.
